Not at all. Most guests barely leave the property. The wood-fired hot tub, private boma, game viewer drives on the estate, and the bush surroundings themselves usually fill the time. Nearby attractions are an option, not a requirement.
Can guests drive themselves around Shona Langa Nature Estate?
Yes. The included game viewer is available throughout the stay for self-guided drives on the estate roads. The estate is approximately 2,000 hectares of free-roaming game with no dangerous animals.
What is the closest town for supplies?
Thabazimbi is the closest town, approximately 30 minutes from the lodge. It has supermarkets, fuel stations, hardware, and a few restaurants. Bela-Bela is approximately an hour away and is well known for its hot springs.
